Our comprehensive approach to treatment is rooted in understanding the body as a movement system. We look at the cause of the symptoms and not just the source.
For example: if you have pain in your big toe, that is the source of the pain, but it could be caused by the way you walk due to ankle stiffness/weakness or even hip stiffness/weakness
-
We provide integrated movement assessment and performance training in sport specific activities to bridge the gap and guide our athletes back to sport.
-
Our primary intervention is to teach our patients how to move their body effectively and efficiently to decrease stress on injuries in order to facilitate healing. We also provide knowledge on how to improve your mobility and strength to minimize occurrence of new injuries based on our movement assessment
-
We provide a wide range of manual techniques to mobilize joints and soft tissue decreasing the stress and tension around the injury. We also provide Astym which is a tool used to break up scar tissue and damaged soft tissue to promote regeneration of healthy tissue to improve one's function.
-
Individualized exercises based on movement impairments and cause of your symptoms.
-
Sport specific video analysis that provides visual feedback on movement impairments during performance of running, jumping, cutting, throwing, or other overhead movements such as tennis, volleyball, and basketball.
-
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a technique in which combines low-intensity exercise under reduced arterial flow conditions. BFR allows individuals to use low loads yet achieve results similar to high intensity training.
